Commitment to Integrity

The United States Global Economic Council maintains an uncompromising commitment to the highest standards of ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and institutional integrity. Our operations are guided by international best practices and strict adherence to U.S. and international law.

1. Anti-Corruption & Bribery

USGEC enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption. We strictly adhere to:

  • The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA): Prohibiting payments to foreign government officials to assist in obtaining or retaining business.
  • The UK Bribery Act: Applying rigorous standards to our global partnerships.
  • OECD Anti-Bribery Convention: Following international guidelines for multinational enterprises.

2. AML & KYC Standards

To prevent financial crimes, the Council implements rigorous Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols. We conduct enhanced due diligence on all corporate partners and project beneficiaries to ensure capital legitimacy and prevent illicit financial flows.

3. Sanctions Compliance

We do not engage in transactions or partnerships with individuals, entities, or jurisdictions subject to sanctions administered by:

  • The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
  • The United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
  • The European Union (EU) External Action Service.

4. Conflict of Interest

All Council members, advisors, and staff are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. We maintain structural independence to ensure that our strategic advice remains objective and aligned solely with the economic development goals of our partners.

5. Reporting Violations

We encourage the reporting of any suspected unethical behavior. Reports can be made confidentially to our Ethics Committee. The Council prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
